Help!

Roomate left an Arowana in a 25 gallon tank. He's about 10 inches now, and I feel bad for him. So went out and got a used 60 gallon tank. Got an Eheim canister filter with it, was wondering if I need any other filters, HOB?? (I read a little on filters) Sorry if you have this posted this info already, but I read thru all the stickys but found no info on what I should do. Roomate has left already and dont plan to come back. I have had the tank going for 6 weeks now with 10-13 mollies and guppies, with a 10inch pleco. Pleco was in the tank with arowana, heard they were hardy so moved him into 60 to get it started. Used Cycle as well to help with getting tank started, am I good to transfer Arowana over? And other reccomendations on what else I would need for the tank? There is no ground gravel, left bare There''s an temprature heater for it, and thats it..

i think your good and i thank you alot for doing that because the arowana could have gotten a broken back from that because the tank is so small and it doesnt have enough room to move. any picture??

Well if you get a HOB get a Aquaclear 110 Power Filter. But you have enough filtration.

get a 250g tank if you are dedicated on keeping it, a 60g won't last long. Else find that roomate and demand he take back his aro (I won't do this as it is akin to sending it back to the gallows since your roomate kept it in a 25g). Post on the MFK market to see if any member near you is willing to adopt. In the worst scenario, give him away to a LFS and pray that a guy with a large tank would buy it.

gimme! :D jk prob not a good idea since i have a 15" jar already lol

i think a 180 should be fine for awhile. jars grow slower then silvers/black from what i know and smaller too compared to a full grown silver/black.

LOL unless anyone has a bigger tank to donate to me, he's gonna have to be happy in a 60 for a year or so. When do I know if the tank is too small for him? Dont have any of Local Fish Stores, thats what LFS means, right? where I am at. Plus, I been takin care of him for 2 months, he kinda grew on me. Will post some pics when I get him in the bigger tank. His rear fin has a cut? split? I read that I should leave it alone, will need some advice when I post pics. Thanks for the reply.

where are you in nevada? you know its too small when the fish has difficulty turning and doesnt have ample room to swim.

a 60g isnt big enough for a 10"+ arowana especially to be kept housed in one for a year... if thats your plan you should just give it away or sell it if you cant get the proper tank size & equipment to house a arowana... thats like someone locking you up in a 6x6 room for a year... not cool....
