jsut got a new jardini about 3-4 inches long and it wont eat anyhting..should i be woried or do i jsut need to be patient for it to get use to the tank?

strange, i never hear of jars not eating:D

try something you know he cant resist
like waxworms. prawns. pellets, are nto as attractive to them if thats what you are trying.

I've said this in a few other threads too, Try flakes. :D My baby silver, 6 in, won't eat anything BUT flakes...weird I know, give it a try if nothing else works, lol. Course he will eventually eat other things when he gets bigger, but flakes are a good start.

give him a day or two to settle, then try him on bloodworms.if he doesnt eat bloodies just throw in a feeder or two to get something in hes belly.

k thanx for the adive but also he seems to stay in the dark sides of the tnak when the light is on.. ive got a 15watt red color fish lamp.is it to bright or does he also need to get use to the tank?

I also thought at first that my Jardini was bothered by bright light so I switched to a dimer one. This mad no difference, he still stayed in the darker corner. I replaced the brighter light and a few weeks later he is swimming around more. I guess it just takes them longer than most fish to get used to their tank (skittish).

As for what they eat, mine eats market shrimp and bloodworm (I'm trying to get him to accept pellets).
