What I have is a 90g Freshwater african cichlid tank that I setup and I'm looking for the best light possible. What is the pro and cons of Marineland double led light. I also have a Glo T5 which I like but they get really hot and wouldn't work with a canopy style setup.

Thx

Pro's :

Won't wear out or break as fast as other less expensive led fixtures
Quality light
Has a moonlight feature built in
Adjustable width (seems pretty standard now)

Con's:

A little more expensive than some other lights
Single swtich for day and night lights (no way to separate and put them on a timer, unless your willing to do electrical work)

I have heard that the Marineland Leds go out after 6months to year?

I have never heard that and I have yet to have had a problem with mine (about a year and a half old now), I have however heard of Beamsworks leds going out (have read this in multiple threads on this site).

If you trust your sources of info about marineland, then there there is absolutley no reason to even question buying one. I myself would never buy an led light fixture that I thought may start to break down after 6 months

EDIT:
When reading info and reviews on this light on Marineland's own website I would not recomend it. I however, very much enjoy mine and it was given to me as a gift; so if/when it fails I won't feel bad in the slightest replacing it with something else.
