I'm posting for one of my friends so pardon if I don't know exact details.

She has a Honduran milksnake. He's about a year old, was eating/shedding fine never had any issues until about a month ago. It looks as if he has stuck shed, but he has been soaked and it won't come off. The snake also feels very stiff, and it seems like it's hard for him to move. Does anyone have any clue as to what the problem could be?

He has a vet appointment next week but would be nice if someone knew something

information on the set up would help generate some possible causes for the problem but in this case it sounds like something pretty serious that will require an experienced reptile vet (not just any regular vet)
but for now, what is the set up like,
how is it heated, what are temps?
what is it eating?
what kind of substrate?

Careful when picking vets, they are used to treating cats and dogs and often kill reptiles. Sounds like possible dehydration. I would place the snake in a pillowcase that has been dampened on one end and tie it shut. You can place damp newspaper or burlap in the case with the snake and it will help to get the shed off. Also double check to make sure the temperatures are not getting too low at night.
