Have some questions for my planted 29
heres the specs of the tank

lighting- 65w 8800k bulbs on a timer to be running 9 hours a day
substrate - flourite
co2 - Yeast & sugar method
With this lighting how often should I be dosing seachem flourish? I read a chart that says three times a week 5ml (5ml is recomended for a 60gal on the bottle) with a 50% water change at the end of the week
is it really a good idea to dose 60 gallons worth three times a week?
Or can anyone out there give me appropriate dose advice?

Also im growing a lot of spot algae on my glass and a lot of brush algae on my plants. Im despirately trying to destroy or control the brush algae if anyone has advice besides "get a SAE"

The cause of GSA is debatable, but with BBA, I'd start with increasing both flow and CO2 distribution. I would also limit your lighting to 8 hours a day. If that doesn't help, I'd run 1 bulb as the primary and turn the other on for a mid-day burst if possible.

CO2 deficiencies and/or fluctuations are the leading cause of most algae. If you're going to dose with Excel, make sure you're consistent.

edit: I see that you've been told to get SAEs before. Do you have any algae eaters? I'm not a fan of the SAE, but Otos have helped keep my algae in check.

Ive got otos in my ten but my GT would kill anything that small
I do not dose with excel but my CO2 has been up and down lately which is why i am adding two more 2l bottles of yeast & sugar mix to stabilize things
ill definetly get the CO2 on check and i hope thatll work
