Ok this is my current ammonia test. The tank is 50 gallons and has been cycling for 16 days with old filter media and seachem stability and 20 to 35% water changes... Is this zero sorry for the bad pic

Of course it's hard to tell exactly with an image, but it's "0"...or close enough :)

Nice job!

Looks like 0, but did you have fish in it or dose with ammonia? I made this mistake before I was really into fish. Old filters+time-ammonia+stability= uncycled tank and dead fish.

If you did, Congratulations on a cycled tank!:)

Is there anyway i can tell what my nitrites are without test kit? Its very expensive here...and the LFS won't do so many free tests

Tank has been cycling for over 2 weeks... ammonia 0, nitrate 15-20, last time i checked my nitrite was around 0.20-0.50

This was 3 days ago...i added some prime after that :./

I don't think so... your best bet would just be to wait it out, give the bacteria a couple of weeks to establish themselves.
