help with my fx 5

high help wanted why is it that problems occur on a weekend my fluval fx5 runs for a while then stops if u put the power back on it works for a bit then stops again any body got any ideas

talking about something other than 2 minute air purge? will run for a few minutes when first plugged in, stop for a few and then startup again to remove air, it will do this every 24 hours... or something else?

Is it purging itself? When you plug it in it should turn on for 2 minutes, then off for 2 minutes. Then run for 24 hours and purge itself again for 2 minutes.

If this isn't what's happening. Take the motor assembly apart and check the impeller area for Debris, Sand, Gravel etc.
