Help with my jaguar cichlid

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
looks like it took a beat down...keep the water very clean as long as hes upright he should be ok..should he turn over its far too gone in most cases. keep up the aeration so there is oxygen

  1. Keep the water clean.
  2. Add aquarium salt and raise the temperature a bit.
In my opinion, it is usually a good idea to try the above two steps in treating an ill fish before starting medication. As your fish is WC, it may need to go through the whole de-worming process.

In case there is any aggression, give enough cover in the tank to let the less aggressive fish hide and to break line-of-sight.

Good luck,

salt! salt! salt!
and raise the temperature to 85 degrees and he'll be ok... don't worry, jaguar is a tough fish.

Looks like he's got some ich and a bacterial issue? Hard to tell with the pics but I can clearly see some white spots and what looks like a white film on him around the gill plate.

Couple guys have given good advice. Do what they are saying and you should be okay.
