So I have had my tank for a little over a month now and my plants are living but not doing as well as I had hoped. The Hornwort seems to be doing the best of them all but even still its not bright green like I've seen in other peoples tanks. I have used root tabs which seemed to help the swords grow alittle but nothing much.

Here is the plants I have

Hornwort
Anubia
Lutea
Amazon Sword
Java Moss

Its a 4'X2'X2' 120 gallon tank. I have two 54 watt T5 lights one 6700K and the other at 10000K.

Do I need more light? Could this be why nothing is thriving like I know it can? Any help is much appriecated.

Your lights are fine. I would look more into fertilization and a carbon source. What is your nitrogen source, fish? If so what and how many do you have?

For basic growth I would recommend iron, micronutrients and excel liquid carbon. That is if your fish provide adequet nitrogen to support plant growth. If not Nitrogen needs to be added in addition to the above.

invest in some of that Co2 subsitute.its liquid in a similar bottle to "proplant" how long are your lights on a day?

yea that co2 liquid stuff is good if you dont want to set up a tank and air line.give it a month or so for them to really show improvment.
