Help with my mono please

For the past 2 days my 3-4" mono has been resting near the bottom of the tank instead of at the top like usual. I've also noticed that he appears to be darker than usual. Ammonia is 0, nitrites are 0, nitrates are between 20-40ppm and temp is at 82. Anyone have any advice? He also hasn't been eating the way he usually does.

You need to up the temp to 87 over a few days. YOu also need a good pump w/ an airstone attatched if you dont have one already.

I have plenty of aeration. He's been in there for about a month now at 82, why would he suddenly be affected by it?

I believe it was stress. I had a 4" frontosa that was bullying him until I sold him but it might have been too late
