help with my red tail cross shovel nose cat fish plz

hi im just needin some advice on what to feed my cat fish iv had him for over a wk now and he just not intrested in food ive tried prawns, mussels and pellets but no such luck a bloke at our local aqatics said to put some sea salt into the tank and try doseing the food with garlic. i really dont want him 2 die so plz anyone if u have any advice many thanks fee xx
 
Feed him bloodworms with the lights out.
 
I've had one of these guys for about six months now. I feed him guppies, ghost shrimp, frozen blood worms, zebra danios, tadpoles, and unfourtunatly 2 kissing gouramis.
 
I wouldn't add salt to the tank. There's no real reason to, from what I can see. Check your water parameters, because high ammonia and nitrites can cause a fish to lose his appetite. The tank was cycled, right? Also, some fish take longer to settle in than other fish. I would try to keep him off of feeders unless you absolutely have to feed them, but that is only my opinion. Try squid. It's stinky and catfish love it.
