My friend who takes care of my tanks when I'm away has just bought a tank to try setting up with native New York saltwater fish. He dives alot around there and wants to make a tank that resembles where he dives. I think it's a cool idea but I have no idea what kind of stocking is possible. What are small species from the New York area??

Your friend should know if he is diving with them...that being said you need to check your local rules and regs to see if you can keep live sw fish, and what the size and capture methods are.
Yeah I'm sure he does know some, just thought it would be cool to have some suggestions that he may not have thought of. There's no harm in my trying to help out is there?
