Hi
Im new here at the forum, me and my brother just netted two pike today (after about 50 tries). One is aroung 6' and one around 2', i should keep them separate so that the big one doesent eat my little one right?

Anyway, i need to know EVERYTHING exept food, i will feed them live perch in the summer months and guppys/goldfish in winter and while heyre still too small.

What size tank do i need?
What temprature should i keep the water at?
If you have any tips on how to keep a pike (or tiger musky/musky).

Thanks

Definitely separate the two-they're cannibals. You can get them off live feeders and I'd make the effort to do this longterm. Just watch your finger putting the food in-they're lightning fast when they hit food. Mine ate frozen fish

I just kept mine at room temp and it was Ok. Size of tank? You know how big they get so go as big as you can. They spend most of the time motionless but when do move, such as when feeding, they'll need room to move. Plant some real plants or plastic plants at one of the tank to simulate reeds, the Pike will like to stay there, and keep the rest of the tank free from plants or wood but add some large peebles on the snad/gravel to make it look more natural. They're amazing to keep and have great markings to them too. Good luck

like robroy said i would def suggest keeping them apart, if u want them to live lol and as far as a tank goes, u said that one of them is 6 foot????

I'm sure he meant inches. They netted them.
