I picked up two Pbass today from a lfs. One was labeled as Monoculus and the other was labeled Ocelifer. They are both about 2 inches long now and in a 15g breeder tank at 82F. One is very active and has already eaten 5 baby endler's but the other doesn't seem to be doing very well and I'm getting worried because he's hanging around near the surface and breathing heavily. He's also rolling himself horizontally back and forth from time to time. Is there anything I can do to destress him faster? I have the tank dimly lit and there is plenty of cover for him. Would a little salt in the water help? I've never seen this rolling behaviour before so I'm at a loss. Also is Ocelifer a species or was that incorrectly labeled? The guy at the store didn't seem to know too much about them. Thanks in advance for any help.

something could just be wrong. parasites maybe fungus try looking it very closely!

I highly doubt there are parasites.

And pics could confirm the sp. And there is a 50/50 chance that it is a Ocellaris.

Here are a few pictures. He didn't want to pose and he's highly stressed out so they aren't the best. He may be too young to properly identify anyway.

Just looks stressed and a little but not overly thin.

I would add some salt, raise the temp to 84 and hope there's nothing wrong with him.

Thanks for the help everyone. I raised the temp last night and added salt to the aquarium but he didn't make it through the night. The other bass I have is doing very well though and I'll post some pics in the future.

Wow sorry to hear.
