Alright here it is. I'm bored of my set up now. things constantly changed and my tank / tanks are boring now. I have a 50 gallon and a 10 gallon.

My 50 gallon has a 10" tiger oscar and a 5" black convict.

My 10 gallon has a 5" red oscar.

This has been the set-up i've had for a while and I'm very bored of it. None of my fish are active at all. only time anything moves is every few hours the oscar chases the black convict for 2 seconds then gives up. So I am planning to bring these 3 fish into my LFS and get store cred for at least the 2 oscars. Then the first thing I plan to do is re-aquascape at least my 50 gallon. maybee both tanks. ad some bigger brighter plans and make it look better. Anyways thats beside the point.

I want some new ideas for what to stock.
I'm tired of only having basically one fish. and oscars are pretty boring (and very messy). Anyways I'm not completely sure yet what to stock.

My ideal set-up i believe would be 3x dwarf snakeheads .. I want 3x channa bleheri but having a hard time finding them. but i would like something along these lines. agressive eaters .. bit active etc etc ..

I could possibly also decide to go with a community tank so suggestions for this would be helpful too.

Here we go MFK .. have fun

Your oscars are boring because they're in WAY WAY WAY too small of tanks. turn the 50 into a convict breeding tank then go semi aquatic with the 10 and get some firebelly newts. Sounds fun!

get some bichirs for the 50... add clown loaches too for the 50... get live plants - gets everything all colorful... add some catfish like cories and zamoras, or maybe some glass ones for a while...

the 10 can be a guppy breeder so you can feed your recommended monsters live food...

Yeah, put a RTC and a TSN cat in (sarcasm... don't take this literally)

haha I was just in pet city and they have 2x tsn's in a tank and on the label they have tiger shovel nose = max size .. 10" loll. some people are gonna get ****ed over!

and I'm thinking about adding live plants to my tank but i'm a completeee beginer when it comes to live plants. don't know the first thing about buying them/keeping them etc etc. I was just about to post a new topic asking for help with picking out a good variety of live plants I could buy to get me started.

oh another thing to throw in. I'm looking for interesting thing. not just cichlids or normal cichlid body shaped fish.

Your options with a 50 are somewhat limited in that aspect. senegal bichirs?

yeah every loves bichirs!!!!

BTW, Java ferns and corckscrew plants are easy to care for and live long...

I'm not an overall huge love of birchirs. i'm still searching hard for my snakeheads but wondering what else I can go with. my friend has a 150 gallon that anything I buy can go in eventually. as long as I can get to have it for at least a year or so i'll be happy so you can factor that in as well. ideally stay in the 50 but don't let it restrict your opinions
