Help with overfed gar.!!!

hey guys i just got my first gar and i got 10 feeders and thru them all in there hoping the gar would eat. to my amazement he ate 8 of them and now is floating on top of the water and not moving at all. his stomach is stretched bad.

Don't worry, gars are like that, or mines like that.

I've never had a gar but I use to fish for them alot. Often you would see them swimming floating on the top of the water in the lake.

It helps to know what the "feeders" are. Species of Gar and the size of the gar.

Feeder gold fish are very fatty it is good to give them a varity!!! like roseys , small minows worms and such will make a very healthy gar!!!

my gar will attack earthworms faster than it will feeders but it would help if you have long worms to cut them in half to make it easier for the gar to swallow but you sitll give him both pieces
