I just bought my first ever test kit and tested the ph levels in my one tank:
the results came back on the high end of the chart.
in and around 7.3 ish i would say.

my fish are: flowhorns, red devils, peacock bass and a Datnoid, (all small fish right now in a 225)

any help here as to what is a good PH for them? also waht does the PH exaclty do for the fish it is not right or it is perfect?

water change was done 4 days ago (50%)

also what is a good PH for my Redtail catfish in a seperate tank?

thanks

thanks for the fast reply...so in and around 7 is a good target here>

at what level is the PH either too low or too high at?

and also i just wanted to add that i have Sand substrate in the tank, im not sure if that could ever possibly affect the ph levels?

The Ph level depends on the fish. You can goggle your fish and get the optimum parameters.
