Help with Pike ID

I've had this pike since he was about an inch long, bought him as a Pike Cichlid. However, I'm not exactly sure what species of crenicichla he is. I think he might be 'crenicichla alta' but I'm not positive. Perhaps you guys could help me out with this? Thanks to anyone who tries.

I appreciate the bump LovesSeverums. This guys picked up quite an attitude in the past couple days, chasing both of my Green Terrors around. Ironically, the only thing he bows down to still is my Severum.

saxatilis pikes are such a pain to id. i dont think its an alta, and it doesnt look like any of the other common saxatilis pikes. but none the less its still an awesome fish.
