I have a ten gallon. I want to figure out what live plants would be a good combo for the tank...I want it "more planted than cheesy decorations" lol
I am trying to find driftwood that is a decent price. My lfs has some but are way huge, like for a 55 gallon.lol I think the trees in my yard are smaller!!! lol
Anyhoww, I have a low lighting situation, it is a florescent hood.
Also my substrate is pool sand and would like to add a piece of driftwood...found mopani I believe it is for 9.00 for a small piece online.
Is that kind one that will discolor water and needs to be soaked for weeks before it goes in?
Thanks all
Jenn

Hygrophylia Polysperma sp. Sunset is nice. I am convinced it would grow in toilet water, and it looks really good. If you start off with a little you can fill it in as it grows. Depending on how low the light you might be able to get away with some types of cabomba.

Other options are foxtail, wysteria, sagitarria, plus many more.

Here are some of the low light plants I have in my tanks:

Java ferns (laced/narrow/broad leaf)
Anubias

The Petco near my me sells smaller driftwood for $4 but it will leach tannins unless you soak and rinse for a while. Best wishes with your tank.
