I have a Proclear 175 and a decent pump. i dont remeber the name of it. here is my problem. the water come down the overflow in the tank and drains through the tubbing with the prefilter and into the wet dry setup. the gets pumped back into the tank.

here is my problem. in my over flow build into the tank i have about 7" of water in there. it just under the prefilter. seems like just enough. the thing is the wet dry wont stay at the water level. its about 6: above the water level sticker on the wet dry. do i need a bigger pump to get the water into the tank faster? my concern is that if i loose power the water fromt he over flow and tank will over flow the wet dry and leak every were. the tubbing im useing with the prefilter has about 15 1/4 holes drilled in it and open at the top. so should i plug some of the holes or just get a bigger pump. i hope everyone follows my questions here.

BUMP

it might be easier to help you if you can take a picture of the overflow, does the water level in the sump constantly rise?

some pics might make it a little easier to solve your problem...

no the water stays at the same level in the sump. just is above the water line on the sump. im just thinking the pump needs to be a little bit bigger

i dont know if you can see it or not.

If you have the hang-on back overflow box, raise the skimmer box (the one that is in side the tank) a bit higher than where it is right now will help to slow down the flow rate on the drain side. If your tank have a built-in overflow box, then go buy a 1" ball valve and attach it to the 90 degree elbow coupling, then attach the hose to the ball valve, and you can control the flow rate of the drain side

i figured it out. i added my mag drive 24 pump and it works great now., just got to figure out a way to stop the loud water following down the over flow.
