I was just on vacation, and while I was gone, my quarantine tank filter failed, and everything in the tank had to be moved or die. Almost everything died, including my snowflake moray that was waiting for my main tank to be escape proofed. I've washed out the entire tank and most of the substrate, replaced the filter media, and replaced all water. I want to set-up the tank again, and so I have some questions. Should I replace substrate and live rock? I can cycle it very quickly with substrate from my main tank, and I have extra substrate if I need to replace it all. Also, how long should I wait even if it is cycled, or do I even need to wait extra once it's cycled?
