Help With Reeflo Dart\Snapper Hybrid

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looks as though the dart hybrid has the incorrect flow chart. I'd look them up on the Reeflo site and compare them.

I use a dart on my 375 and run it full out. It is efficient and quiet. I was going to shoot for a hammerhead for my tank, but I think the 5500gph might have been too much. I sold it to someone on this board.

Note on the hybrid pumps - they ship with the smaller rotor installed, so you have to open it up and replace the blade. It's easy though and shouldn't take more than 10 mins. It's a few bolts and a quick spin.

I'm running a Hammerhead Gold on my tank and this pump is a beast. It moves a ton of water, even at my 9' of head pressure, but it does consume more electricity than what Reeflo states. According to Reeflo, it should pull 291watts at 9' head, but I am drawing 331 watts. Might not seam like a big difference, but at my electricity rates, that translates to around $10/month.

What is annoying is that the MAX wattage listed is 297, so regardless of my head height, it should not be pulling that many watts.

Having said that, Reeflo's customer service is the best in the hobby. I would not hesitate to buy another Reeflo.
