State of chaos
So my door is being painted, and I told my parents that I want it painted in the basement for the fish. They said okay, and the painter said okay. I get home and the door is put back on its hinges, repainted. I asked the painter if it's still wet and he goes "a little" :irked:
Then he starts painting the doorframe to my room! WTF :irked:

I asked in AC chat, and they said to move the Herps out, open the window, and put my window fan on exhaust. The Herps are in coolers in the dining room and I'm wondering if I should move the fish too...?
I'm so PISSED

Cover the tank and turn off any airstones/whatever while you air out your room. (but not more than an hour or so without uncovering. (I don't know how long they could go, but why risk more than that) Paint fumes are heavy and sink, so you don't have to seal the tank, but I used saran wrap to cover mine.

I have cichlids and clown loaches, they didn't seem stressed at all.

When I painted my house I set up a holding tank in the basement the rubbermaid kind. Didn't want to chance it. Spent too much on my large L-114 and L-14 plecos. I covered the 80 gallon with towels. Returned the fish to the 80 the next day without any promblems.
