Hello.....My fish started to scratch on the sand substrate in my aquarium. I now noticed white spots on my P Bass & TSN. I raised the temp to 86 degrees and added 33oz of aquarium salt. The carton states treats up to 220 gl of water. My tank is 300 gl and was wondering if this amount is enought taking the substrate and driftwood, etc into account? Any advise would be greatly appriciated.

Did you dissolve the salt and add slowly? I use a tablespoon per 5g dose whe treating for ich.

Sounds like you're on right track. Keep us updated.

Do your usual routine and feed them variety of foods.:) Only surefire way to keep them resistant from ich is to boost their immune system while salt destroys the parasites throughout their lifecycle.

I think I have found the sorce of the ICH. I found some of my feeders covered with Ich. If I treat the feeder tank with a stronger med will this harm my fish when they eat the feeders? My fish will only accept live food so I have no other options right now.

You should allways quarintine feeders and treat them. Allmost all feeders will have something wrong with them. I treat mine with a fungus med that works for several things and also keep a high level of salt in the tank. I kep them like this for a week before feeding. I alternate between to feeder tanks. While one is being treated the other is for food.
