My House!
Hi sorry if I'm getting annoying, I have a lot of questions.. Also please don't tell me I'm crazy, because I'm already aware or this. :D

However, I would like my ambulia to grow a little before getting destroyed... Its an a tank with 10 small-med goldfish.. (remember I know I'm nuts)

I've already had one of the helpful guys on here give me a bit of info about it, I've googled a bit more on the overall topic but I'm still at a loss for what to do.

Questions:
#1 What would be the best substrate to use with this plant?

Please keep in mind I'm in AUS and have no idea if the same restrictions that apply for plants applies to substrate or not, it's very strict over here..

#2 Can anyone recommend a good brand of said substrate type that they've used?

#3 What ferts have people tried with this plant and succeeded or failed with?

#4 Will co2 be of any use to the situation? Please note that I've never used co2 in my tanks..

If anyone can answer any of these questions thank you heaps. If I'm getting annoying I'm sorry about that.. I have tons of questions... Thanks for being patient with me. :)

1. You do not need CO2 nor special lighting for Ambulia, and of course CO2 & High lighting is an extra bonus if you can set it up
2. Any plants substrate available in your area would work fine for Ambulia, in case you can't buy it due to restriction than any regular aquarium gravel would be fine..
3. Without CO2 and high lighting to boost this plant growth rate at max level then your goldfish might destroy Ambulia within few days.
4. Tablet or liquid fertilizer work fine for Ambulia.

Days are better than hours. :D thanks heaps. Also, is flourish excel any good? If not, can you suggest a fert that is?

Seachem Flourish or any brand liquid fertilizer works but I wouldn't use Seachem Excel Liquid CO2, it can be harmful and toxic to some plants and cause them melt down.

Thanks for the warning. :)
