So I've had my pair of henlei for like 5 days now and boy what a few couple of days it has been! I got em Friday night and then sat I lost power. I didn't get it back till Sunday night and e temp in my tank dropped down to the mid 60s.

The rays seemed ok, and the temp was going up and then my 1000w heater went nuts? The temp is up to 74 and I tested the water at 0,0,<10. My rays have something that is coming off their backs now? It's like dark grey spots that come off when they swim? Is it fungal and what should I do? Maybe just a slime coat coming off? This is kinda weird since they are both eating very well. I'll grab some pics real quick. Thanks!

Ok they are like blisters that are peeling? When they peel off the ray looks fine under it? Any ideas?

Do a good water change. Let everything stabilize (temp etc.). As long as they're eatting and acting normal I would just wait. Probably some type of slime coat from the temp. drift. That is a while to lose power for those big guys.

thanks for the help jim. im also going to buy more heaters today. just a rough couple of days. luckily water quality was better than i thought it would be (figured i might have killed off some bio without power) and they are eating shrimp and night crawlers

Big water change and raised temp to 79 added salt and pima fix. Female looks and acts normal can't tell anything happened and m male looks like he's about to die:irked: I'm surprised nobody has ever seen this or had any advice. Thanks anyways :screwy:
