Here's the gist... I want to have at least one Angelfish in the tank (maybe two) and some schooling fish big enough to be with them. I will also have 2 Bristlenosed Pleco's in the tank.
2 x Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare)
2 x Blue Ram (Mikrogeophagus ramirezi) A pair
2 x Bristlenose Pleco (Ancistrus sp.) or some other catfish since I don't want egg eaters in my tank
12 x Dwarf Rainbowfish (Melanotaenia maccullochi)
My main concern is if the rams and Angels will get along and secondly if the angel will feel cramped as it grows being in a shorter tank.
I just picked up some black phantom tetras the other day. Never paid them much notice...but they are gorgeous in my planted discus/angel tank. I also really like lemon tetras in a planted tank.
mmm the rainbows are definitely pretty. Hard to find them around my parts. The dwarfs anyway. I have rams with my angels and discus. They all get along pretty well. The rams being primarily bottom of the tank...they don't really interact that much with the others.
