on an icecube.....
iam getting a 130g tank or 50$:D (its 6' long and i think 2'HX2'W?)it has an over flow on it but iam realy new at this so what kind of plumming would i need to conect it to a sump/wetdry just some PVC?and how do i know how large of a return pump i need?(i think the overflow has a 2"hole?)and iam going to use pot scrubbers in the wetdry but witch ones are safe theres ones made out of plastic but dont say whats kind or ones that seem to be made of nylone? any other advise would be grate:) this is my largest tank yet:)

PVC pipe is fine, or a bulk-head. to PVC or aquatic hose (flexible)

So many choices

You want a pump that will pump at least 6-800 gal per hour up the rise. it would be better if it was more in the range of 1000-1500 gph.

plastic scrubbies are inert (harmless).

Here are my thoughts.

PVC from the tank
to a siphon-break. (depending on the overflow this may not bbe needed)
Flex hose to the sumps mechanical media
drip through the biochamber.
a bit more mechanical filtration here
heater in the sump
a UV in the sump
A pump that will net 12-1300 gph at the tank outlet.
a PVC spraybar to distribute the water in the tank.

Just my thoughts...

thanks:)so all scrubbies are safe then? but for one the tank isent in that grate of shape but for 50$ as long as i can see in it some and it holds water iam fine with that, its made of acylic and has some scratches, iam also getting a 15"-+ tiger shovelnose that will go in when we move(just have to find a place to put him now)unfortunatley i dont have any pics(or tank anyway yet)i gess i need to get a digital cam now!

Hey lilstinker...I am also interested in this thread because I am in the same boat.
It would really help me if I could see the stuff you are reffering too.
Any pics available of your filtration system?

I get these from Dollar General & the Dollar Tree stores. A pack of 6 for $1. The Dollar Tree let's you order by phone (case load only). I ordered 2 cases for a couple of large filters I'm putting together. There's no extra charge for this service. 144 scrubbies= $24.

Take a look at this thread, There are many more with more pot scrubbers pics. Most people go to the local dollar store & grab them in 6-packs.
