there was a hurricane where i live yesterday, and the power has been shut off for almost 24 hours now!! i have done water changes to keep the temp as close to 72-76 degrees but i have to leave.. no oxygen bubbles in tank and i have nothing to keep the temp at least above 70 degrees.. will my arowanna, 2 FL gars and pike chichlid be ok for about 8 more hours??

try to insulate the tank. keep the top covered and maybe throw a blanket over it. also try to keep the room warm as possible. keep all windows closed. if u have a fire place in the room that would help a lot!

Sorry to hear of the foul weather...Does your LFS sell battery operated pumps?
Can you access a oxygen bottle with a liter-flow mask, like what those folks with lung problems carry around, usually they have a few old ones laying around...
If you can create some water movment, they will be stressed out, but they should be ok as far as breathing. And the oxygen will dose the water with o2 and cause some circulation...
Also cover the tank with blankets to hold in the heat you have left, in the tank
How do the fish look now?
you can always heat the water a pot at a time to bring the temps up...

It may suck for you but I would turn my house heater on and get a battery powered aerator......

thx for the advice guys!! i did the blanket tip, and it seemed to have worked!!
