help with tankmate for ck

Ok quick question. I have a ck that's about 14 inches or so and I woulda like to replace my fire eel that he ate with a bichir. What type and size would be recommended to make a good tank mate and not a snack?

what type of fish do you like?myself i would look for ones that stay mid to top so avoid fighting for same areas.how long has your CK been housed with other fish in the same tank?my CK wont allow any tank mates and is kept solo in his tank.

I bought it about a week ago from a petstore who got it in by trade. So I'm not really sure if it was by itself or in with others. It was however in a tank with a large s/a cichlid. I have a few oscars and an arowanna growing out I'm hoping can go in with the clown. But as for another fish I was looking at bichirs since I wanted another oddball. But I'm not sure how big it would have to be or if there is a species that would hold its own better then another.

i keep mine with an ornate bichir, lima shovelnose cat and a few NON dovii parachromis.
if your just wanting a bichir i would probably look in the 6" plus range
