help with tankmates

i was wondering about 2 things. is there any fish that can be kept with the palmas an poly sen that they wont eat. i mean like the paradise gourami cause of there aggression or any others.

the second one is there any fish thats related to the dino's like the bichir is that can be kept in a small tank?
 
How small of a tank we talking about?
 
right now its a 10, 20, 29, an a 30
 
Get a snakeskin gourami or a pink kissing gourami. Also leopard bush fish or climbing perch will work. I have success with these fish mentioned before. Even my 21" endli didn;t bother them. However similar size even some bigger bala sharks and tin foil barbs got eaten or being nip during lights out.

Calm moving fish such as most labyrinth fish are actually good tank mates for bichirs. Skittish fish with a twitchy movement such as schooling barbs and other schooling characin often gets death rolled during lights out. It's the twitchy movement or thye skittishness of the fish that most predatory fish are attracted to.
 
yeah get some gouromi
 
my bichirs never bothered their only tankmate, a wild caught gourami of which i don't know what species. i saw it on a ditch and just grabbed it. :D
