I have the following in a 75gal thats over filtered
1.silver aro
1. speckled pbass
1. ripsaw cat
1. african pike
1. flag tail

im moving and going to upgrade my tank these fish are all under 8in how large of a tank do i need to last the next year?

The silver aro will be over 24" in a year. At that point it will start outgrowing a 180g 6x2x2' tank. IMO nothing less then the 180g, but within 2 years you should be looking at a 300g 96x30x24" as a minimum.

All your fish are great, but the most manageable in your list are certainly going to be your flagtail (prochilodus, right?) and the ripsaw catfish (megalodoras uranoscopus, right?). I hate common names. Without knowing for sure what you have, it's actually hard to make any recommendations at all. The other three fish...wait, two fish (african pike?) are well-known and almost never confused, but also true monsters who need their space.

You could reasonably maintain a megalodoras uranoscopus and flagtail prochilodus in about a 200 gallon wide tank for life.

yup those are the right fish, im looking just for year since my lease will be up and ill get a larger tank when i move out, so you guys think 180 is good for a year? i dont have a lot of space but I never want to have to get rid of my rescues.
