Help with temp

I have a 300gal poly stock tub and i have my heater on full blast but it will only do about 74-76 degrees. Is this worm enough or to cold. Thanks

you will prolly need at least two 300watt heaters at minimum to get it at least 80-81 degrees possibly even 3 of the heaters as a 300watt is rated for 80gals but thats an underated assumption i have found to be

agreed add another heater to help out or maybe even insulate the outside of the tank a little so it holds more heat in.

Also you want to have your tank tightly covered to keep the heat up and the cost down.

in the winter i let my tank get down around 75-76. summer mine ranges in the low to mid 80's

Is 80 the recommended temperature?
