My tsn took a good bashing off my jags yesterday and since then he hasnt been the same, ive removed the jags into a diff tank but my tsn seems to be finding it hard to lie straight.

He does move but only when he has too as he seems to start bobbing about and just floating, his gill movements arnt really as they should be either it looks like he aint even breathing, he has no cuts or scars from the fight but he did jump up outa the water a few times to escape them, hitting the support bars on the tank.

I dont really have another tank to put him in but there is nothing in his tank that will touch him so hes pretty safe for now. Its just the fact that he looks like hes just gonna roll over and die.

What could be wrong with him? has any1 experienced anything like this before?

Help guys i dont want this little dude to die on me so i need to know what i can do, if there is anything i can do :(

I would suggest he is highly stressed.. leaving the lights on low, making sure there are no disturbances near his tank (sound and motion...), and ensuring his water is very good quality might assist him in pulling through... Oooh, make sure he has somewhere to hide as well.. just try to keep calm and work your way through it.. remember he is depending on you to lead the situation..
Good luck dude

Thanks moos, thats what ive been doing so far but lol me getting a bit worried bout me bairn, hes only lickle and needs some loving..........

I'll try my best matey lets see what happens in a day or say then eh, thanks dude ;)

I agree with moose... keep the lights off. If he's eating, put some feeders or something to liven him up a bit and get his mind off it. A little extra aquarium salt might help reduce stress. Clean water, hiding spot, raise temp a little. Our TSN has got stressed and beat up. Weve had to separate him a few times. They do seem to be kind of sensitive fish and they arent really aggressive compared to other fish you might keep them with so they are suceptible to getting picked on... especially when small (less than a foot). He will probably pull through. Here is a pic of ours when he got beat up. He wouldn't eat for several days after getting beat up... he's fine now

Thanks for reassuring me he will pull through, he is swimming around atm so i have high hopes, but from experience any thing can happen from now till he pulls his head around. Im getting a new tank in a few weeks so i think i will put him in there alone with some feeders, maybe it will toughen him up a bit too, give him the confidence he needs to pick back on the bullies :).

Ur TSN is very nice BTW, thanks for ur advice ;)

Ok guys he doesnt look well at all, he was spinning upside down in circles last night trying to swim straight but he couldnt, now he is lying on his left side and cant keep himself flat.

What the hell is going on with him, this really doesnt look like stress it looks like its something internal.

Sounds like he might have damaged himself on the cover glass/sides of the tank, if that is the case afaik not alot you can do.

Hopefully someone else might be able to help, but sounds like he really hurt himself :(

Oh damn, if theres not much i can do then i guess i am going to have to just wait for him to pass

Im devostated as he was coming along really well, i suppose we all learn from our mistakes. Sounds harsh but if any of you guys have any ideas on how to save this little fellow then please let me know asap :(, this is a really sad moment for me

He's really trying to pull himself around he realises he's going off balance and trys to straighten himself up, but he just cant lie striaght at all.

His gills arnt even moving like they should, it looks like hes not even breathing, could he have broken something i.e, his tail or maybe badly brused the inside at the back as thats where hes struggling to keep his balance
