help with wet/dry

well i am going to go get a wet/dry filter and i was wondering is it loud? does it have gurgling noises coming from it if i have an overflow box on the tank?

Do you mean w/d sump or canister

If you mean sumo then
Yes the gurgling noise at first is loud. Over time you dont even hear it anymore. They are a few modifications you can do to quiet it down. I thought of building a W/D for 6 months i finally did it and i wish i did earlier. Try to buy a used overflow as the new ones are overpriced.
