help with what to add to my 40 gallon

ok heres the stock:
1 african brown knifefish
2 golden wonder killifish
2 glass catfish
3 mickey mouse platies
4 glolite tetras
1 kuhli loach
2 weather loaches
1 dwarf bristlenose pleco

and i am going to add:
1. 1 african brown knifefish
or
2. 1 leopard ctenopoma
or
3. 1 rainbowfish of some type heres a pic


so what does mfk think?

Another african knife wouldnt work, for that fact it would cramp things, compromise other bottom dwellers, and the fact knives dont mix well. Also, the ctenepoma is a predator and is not a good idea. It will prey on your smaller fish like the tetras, platies, Killies, and some fo the others maybe. The rainbow fish is the best selection here, thats the one I chose.

A rainbow would add some color to your tank and their peaceful. I'm suprised your African knife hasnt snacked on those platies yet

I don't know how large ur knife is but if it hasn't tasted some of those fish he sure will

I know the knife will make the stock a litlle heavy but I figured if it picked off a couple of small fish it would even itself out?
And I was hoping if I set up 2 seperate caves on opposite sides of the aquarium then they could have there own spots and maybe they won't fight?
