...just acclimated some good sized Red Hooks that i purchased today. i acclimated them well with a slow drip for about 30 minutes and untill tank temp matched the bucket they were in. i added them one by one and now they're kind of tripping out. breathing rapidly and swimming a bit sideways and seeming a little confused....any suggestions on what i should do? :nilly::nilly:

red hooks, a little bit bigger than the palm of my hand. checked water parameters and the only thing out of normal range is the Water Hardness (which generally runs high in my area) water hardness is at 14degrees.

Silver dollars can act kind of weird when you acclimate them and move them. How is the DO in your tank? It may help to add a bubble wand or something for awhile until they recover.

The water in your own tank doesn't matter so much as that water compared to the water they were already in. If there was a huge difference 30 MIN may not have been enough, but honestly the behavior you describe doesn't sound abnormal. They get stressed and freak out pretty easy, it doesn't necessarily mean they won't survive.
