I just got a pair of fire eels about 10"-12" long. Thought I picked the best ones, When I got home placed them in a 55 quarintine tank, and notice one of them has three sores. towards the middle and tail section. Ill try to post some pics
 
I have two eels together. I am wondering if I should take out the one with the sores and place it in it's own tank. Any help or information on this matter will be greatly appreciated.:confused:
 
Isolate the one with sores in another tank. Treat with terramycin.
 
yeah it would help to isolate it so not to stress the other with meds and have a chance it spreads to the other if terramycin doesn't work or if you can't find it treat it with some salt and malafix
 
Went to the pet store no melafix. Place him in a ten gallon tank,with salt. Have to keep searchin for that melafix. Maybe wal-mart has it.Thanks for you help...
 
Melafix is not going to help with those sores. If you can't get Binox, try Jungle Fungus Eliminator. Don't add salt as it contains nitrofurazone and salt itself.
 
I found some jungle fungus eliminator. Currently moved to10g treatment tank with melafix and salt. Before I add the fungus eliminator should I do a water change.
 
No need to add salt. Jungle Fungus Eliminator has salt in it. Yes, do a water change.
