My two senegals are fighting they are biting at eachothers tails and by the loks of it tearing off tiny pices what must i do!!! i have no other tanks to put them in!

put a divider into the tank seperating the combatants-Anne

how big are they and how bigs the tank?

feed them more or add some fast moveing bottem dwellers more hideing spots couldn't hurt if that doesn't help get a tank divider

the long term solution would be another tank

I'm going through that myself right now with my three Sens.

Yeah they need a bigger tank with alot more hiding spots. I thought i heard somewhere that they need around 30 gallons each. Don't quote me on that though.

But hiding spots very important. I added some new ones and when fighting heats up I rearrange. It does help calm things down.

I've found that less hiding spots are better for avoiding aggression. I also like the way it gives them more open swimming space.

Instead of multiple hides, I prefer either using plants to break up their sight of the front of the tank (they think they're hiding) or if I do use hardscape, I use larger pieces of driftwood, so that it is used as a community hide, and with all the bichirs together, they seem to keep their cool.
