I just bought a male convict that is about 3.5 inches and he has dug holes on the sides of the aquaruim , but I wanted to buy a female so they can start breeding , how would I introduce them without fighting. THANKS

take out the male and put in another tank if possible, then introduce the female. If you can't move him, rearrange the decor in the tank. Then put a cave in for the female to take shelter from the male. Besides that they practically only need water to breed.
