So here's the situation, I have my Flowerhorn in my garage and I noticed that when the aquarium light is on and no one is around his flower line is dark black. But when his aquarium light is off and i come into the garage to grab something his flower line totally disappeared  Is this supposed to happen or is there something wrong with my fish. I've been noticing this for about a week already.

Will try to get pictures of my Flowerhorn when his flower line is gone. Thank you in advance MFK'ers!

Without flower line (I circled the missing spot):

looks male, when the light is off, flowerhorns show deeper color, when the light is on, it shows lighter color. I used to have a red dragon, when i turn on the light, the spot in the middle also becomes lighter(as light as the second spot, rest are very dark), but yours might just be a low grade.
