woke up at 7 this morning and found at least 30 gallons of water on my floor! I hurried to mop it up and removed the sump and overflow thinking that that might be the problem but I came back after class an hour and a half later to find MORE water on the floor. I checked all of the hoses that are attached to the tank of filter and all of those are dry. It seems to be a slow leak but a leak none the less, I am still not sure where it is coming from. I do not think that it is coming from the tank itself because it is brand new and has been working fine for the last few months w/o leaking. the tank is currently sitting idle with out any of the filters running but i need to get it back online soon before my fish start to suffocate.

Any ideas on what could be causing the leak? any help at all is greatly appreciated.

^ i agree some new tanks leak to damn mass manufacturing

mopped everything up and set everything back up after about an hour of watching for more leaks. nothing. I still don't know what caused it but it seems to have stopped. I am gonna keep a VERY close eye on it for the next few weeks though. thanks for your help.

Man I hate to hear that about your tank , I have heard of brand new tanks leaking when they was first filled up ... I hope you can get it fixed
