I have a piece of Mopani drift wood and it seems to be growing some sort of fungus. The growth is white and i have tried to rinse it but it keeps growing, how do I get rid of this? Is it a threat to my fish? Any help would be appreciated.

This usually happens to new driftwood. The white fungus is harmless and will disappear on its own in a few weeks. Plecos will also eat it. I'm not a big fan of plecos though. They add too much waste to tanks.
