I have a 400 gal wate tank with 4 albino oscars 1 red bellied pacu 2 cascadura (amoured catfish) 3 small misc. cichlids got a good filter wondering if i might be overstocked?? :// the pacu is about 14 inch the oscars btween 6-9 inch
any ideas and im not really sure what the casadura eats the pet store ppl said he would be fine on scraps from the other fish any ideas?

but does any1 kno wat cascadura eat?? because of my small cichlids the cascadura are not getting much food i never really saw them eat anything oh and i have 1 random catfish and 4 small common pleco well i think they are pleco ( in trinidad we just call them tatas )

They'll eat just about anything that fits in their mouths. Put in some sinking food at night when the lights go off. I have a Rafial that keeps growing and I've never seen it eat as a matter of fact I've only seen it three times since I got it almost a year ago, I even forgot I had it for a while.

I had pacus that I rescued and rehomed. I had a similiar issue. The pacu are very greedy fish when it comes to feeding time--as oscars are too. As far as stocking goes, your fine for now but the pacu is going to get huge.

yeah if you get rid of one of the oscars you could get a couple more, if the plecos are commons then they will each get almost as long as the pacu will and they are crapping machines, i think the stocking is at a good level right now, especially one everything grows but if you get rid of one of the oscars you could add 2 other medium growing cichlids like carpintis, jack dempsey, some type of vieja, what is most available in your area? there really is a ton of different kinds of fish that you could add but would help narrow it down if we know what you have access to
