i did a 1/3 water change in my 150g yesterday and when i woke up this morning i found my pictus catfish baby dead and my clown knife is gagging for air at the top of the water although i think part of his problem is he hasnt eaten in a week or two. he used to be really fiesty is there any way that i can try to help revive my clownknife he is about 10" and hes my favorite fish in that tank im pret novies but i have tryed already to push water through his gills that is the first thing.

do u think maybe hes at an imbalance because the water used to be brackish well i just havent added that 1/3 salt back yet??

any suggestions are grateful and speediness is thoughtful too he wont hold on forever

It will probally die but i suggest, turn of all lights and room lights, add the salt and turn temp up a bit, it sounds likeit is in schock, what i just suggested is all you can do really

What's your water chemistry?

Did you convert from brackish? If so hoow long ago?

You you have another tank/tub you can setup to get it out of there?

i have one but its 15 minute drive from here its only a 25 with another baby clown knife
i had it brackish but i hadent added the salt yesterday after the waerchange

so do u suggest that i add the salt back?
if so i will do that right away
or if u suggest seperation ill do that
