I have a 4o gallon with 1 Senegal Bichir 3 Bala Sharks 1 African Peacock Chiclid 1 Raphael Catfish 1 Picus Catfish is that to many? just wondering what's the best filtration cuz I have to water changes like @least once a week I don't have a gravel filter ne suggestions?

You should be doing water changes weekly anyway, no matter what your stock is.
