i am just changing to a 40g long. i have my favorite fish 3 convicts ( 1-3/4", 2-1/2" and 1 of the smaller ones is an albino), 4 tiger barbs ( 2- 2", 2- 3/4"), 2 rosy barbs (2" each), 2 red phantoms (1"), 1 pleco (2"), and 2 african dwarf frogs. I plan on getting 2 Blue Acara's and my question is how u think all these fish will get along? If the tank size is ok for all these fish? and how i should set up with rocks and fake plants.

The convicts with the barbs should be fine; the plecos also (unless they get too large). Frogs? Potential food, I would think, but who knows? I don't know phantoms. Are any of the convicts paired up?

Personally, I don't think you'll get away with two additional acara, especially if anything pairs up in there. One acara maybe.

That tank is just not big enough to add anything else. You are stocked to the limit as is
