my albino bichirs are not eating.... they are abt 4 inches... what should i do, they seem lazy.. they only swim to to breathe.. what culd be the cause?? how do i feed them, they are not interested in food

Hello,
I suggest that you give more information about the fish and the environment.
For example: How long the fish are with you? Tank parameters, decoration, tank mates etc.
Bye!

+1 If you just got the fish then theyre most probably just shy and getting used to the new tank. If not, then something else must be wrong. Try reading some of the stickies in the poly section. They help out a lot

Since you got them recently it isn't surprising. What are you feeding them? If it's something different from what the store was feeding it might take a while to get them used to it. Don't worry, they won't starve to death. Offer them food every day or so and remove it if it isn't eaten. You could try offering a variety like bloodworms or frozen fish to entice them.

Don't worry about it they are new And are hesitant to eat something in a new environment, but when they are hungry they'll eat.

They're still acclimating or else they're serious nocturnal that would feed only when lights out. I suggest also if your gonna feed them daytime kill the lights out first. Else post what ^ these people says first. Hoping for the best.

thanks... yeah as baconmeupscotty said i got em few days back.... i tried feeding them fish(not live), they wernt interseted so i fed them chicken, thats what the store had been feeding them... they were kinda fine with chicken all these days but today they are not eating...
