My 13yr old loisellei has a large bulge on one side of her body and is normal on the other side..she acts normal eats fine would anyone have an idea what this could be..

It could be an abcess or a tumor it is an old fish so it's diffacult to tell from a photo. Please post your water perameters Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, Ph and hardness.
 
Thats what I was thinkin as well..was just hoping it was curable..kind of attached to this fish..bit.thanks for ya help I appreciate it..

also my water all matches up...just a bit high in amonia because its time to do my weekly water change..

what's the Ph? We can try treating it and see what happens. If it's an abcess it should respond to antibiotics.
 
I'm thinking also it could be a bacterial infection...she has barely ever got sick since I've had her

For your water I would suggest Maracyn-two (Minocycline). It is skin absorbed and has good anti-inflamatory properties. It should work well here if it is an abcess from an internal bacterial infection. It works best in low Ph and soft water environments. Please keep us posted on how this old guy is doing. Do not combine this with anything else befor asking.
