I've got this fish in a 90 gallon aquarium he/she is only about 2 inches long. Has been in the aquarium for about a week or two now he/she is one of the top dogs. Only tank mate that it doesn't run of is the Auratus I have. The last couple days it has not been eating much if any at all. Does not look bloated or showing any heavy signs of illness other than hiding out in the skull that it has apparently deemed as "home". Anytime any of the other fish come near it runs them off with the exception of the auratus. It has been hanging out at the bottom of the tank right close to "home" and doesn't explore the tank at all like all the rest of the fish. My parameters of the tank are less than .25 ppm of ammonia no nitrites and around 5 ppm of nitrates (the tank was showing high nitrites a few days ago so I did a pwc and since then have been showing 0 nitrites but .25 on ammonia and 5 ppm nitrates. I've dropped a few shelled peas in and it has nibbled at them but not really eaten them. The rest of the food I've put in are omega one sinking cichlid pellets. This fish has eaten the he'll out of the omega one pellets since I first gotten him/her in the old tank and even the first little bit in the new big tank. I also use aquarium salt at the ratio of 1 tablespoon per 10 gallons. Do I need to separate this fish into a hospital tank and dose with anything or is this fish ok? Any help will be greatly appreciated.. I've had this fish for a little while and don't want anything to happen to him or her.. I know it is a kenyi but still not sure if it is a male or female.. I think it's a male cause there are some spots of yellow showing up but obviously still showing mainly juvi or female coloration..
